In Episode 1 of a new series of Ocean Sailor, Dick returns to his roots as he visits Royal Burnham Yacht Club in Essex, England. Here Dick shares his thoughts on the genesis of true bluewater yacht design, taking us on a journey going back more than 100 years.

Taking some challenging weather in her stride, the first Kraken 58 followed a route crossing the Mediterranean Sea via the Straits of Messina. Built for bluewater, the 58 proved more than up to the job and stunned with her light wind performance towards the end of the trip.
