Explore the 44
The new Kraken 44 is a true Kraken through and through. Every line, every detail, every decision reflects the same uncompromising philosophy that defines the entire range.
She carries all the key, often unique characteristics that set Kraken apart from every other yacht in production today. Nothing has been diluted. Nothing has been compromised.
This is no accident. It comes from staying true to Kraken’s founding belief: to build the perfect boat, you must first define its purpose. We don’t believe in the myth of the “do-it-all” yacht, a boat that tries to be everything ends up being truly excellent at nothing.
So, like the Kraken 50, 58 and 66 before her, the Kraken 44 has been designed with absolute clarity of purpose:
To carry her crew safely across oceans, short-handed, to any navigable corner of the world.
To be a true home at sea, one where safety and comfort are never traded against each other, but delivered together, in full.
The result is a yacht that feels like it was built around you. The Kraken 44 is the ideal vessel for two people chasing the horizon together, yet she opens her arms just as warmly to young children, or family and friends joining for the adventure.
Design without compromise.
Raised tank fillers and drainage protect the deck and the environment from accidental spills when refueling and eliminate the possibility of sea, or rainwater entering the fuel system.
The Zero Keel
The hull is laid up with 13-18 layers of composite engineered fabrics.
The Alpha Rudder
A fully protected skeg-hung rudder. Three independent bearings which are easily serviced, even when afloat or even on passage.
Collision points
Ultra heavy layup hull comprising a minimum of 15 layers of engineered composite fibres, including Aramids, for total collision protection.
Build structure
All frames and stringers are bonded in by hand lay up, no vulnerable after bonded grid matrix is used.
Concave bulwark
A deep concave moulded bulwark makes for a solid foothold when working on deck in heavy weather.
80cm Stanchions
With triple wire safety lines for additional safety when working on deck.
Solent rig
The perfect rig for all points of sail and wind strengths. All sail setting, trimming and furling can be done by one person from the safety of the cockpit, making it the rig of choice for short handling long distance cruising.
Recessed covered fuel filling
Raised tank fillers and drainage protect the deck and the environment from accidental spills when refueling and eliminate the possibility of sea, or rainwater entering the fuel system.
Triple fuel polishing
A tank to tank fuel polishing system means you can be sure you are always running your engine and generator on 100% clean fuel.

Meet the designer.
“The Kraken 44 is a true blue water cruising yacht with the DNA of her bigger sisters, the Kraken 50, 58 and 66.
Our brief was to create a 44-footer with Comfort, Seakindliness, Safety and Performance wrapped up in all the features that make her a Kraken including the Zero Keel and Alpha Rudder. No compromises were to be made on any of these key point. The Kraken 44 combines ease of handling, safety, high performance and luxury with a style and structural integrity that will set new standards for years to come.
We are proud to have worked with Kraken Yachts on their 50+ fleet and we are excited about this new venture into the under 50-foot market.”

The new Kraken Hybrid Drive
Our development of the Kraken Eco Hybrid Drive system is a real game changing feature of this boat. The combination electric drive motor produces 15kW when in recharge mode!
The Kraken 44 requires no generator, enabling us to design a spacious engine and equipment room, which would otherwise be occupied by a generator to support the comfort and technology required for long-term independent living away from marinas.
Benefits of the Kraken Hybrid Drive
- Triple Redundancy of drive.
Main engine, electric drive or wind power, you’ve got it all. - Regeneration of power while you sail.
Reduced fuel consumption and increased range. - Silent running.
95% sound reduction compared to the onboard diesel engine - Zero Emissions.
